Prenatal Yoga

Four Week Series: Jan 11, 18, 25 & Feb 1       $50

9:00 – 10:00am

Pregnancy is a transitional time for women, when many physical & emotional changes take place. Prenatal Yoga helps us honor these changes in ourselves and our body and helps create a special bond with baby throughout these nine months. Postures can help strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, keep the body and pelvic floor flexible, as well as alleviate many common discomforts of pregnancy.  Finding focus through balance and breathing practices connect mother and baby to prepare for a healthy, mindful, more natural approach to labor and birth. Guided meditation/relaxations create a peaceful, calm state of mind.

Classes includes poses, movements, deep breathing, relaxation and meditation that may be practiced through all trimesters (clearing any medical issues with your midwife or doctor). Prenatal Yoga is a great way to connect with other mothers-to-be and create friendships last lifetimes.

Mommy & Me Yoga

Four Week Series: Jan 11, 18, 25 & Feb 1       $50

11:00am -12:00pm

Designed for new moms with babies up to 9 months old, these classes give you an opportunity to bond with baby and nourish and care for yourself through focused stretches, strengthening, mindfulness & breathing. We will stretch and strengthen the muscles that need the most TLC after pregnancy and birth. Targeted poses and movements will increase abdominal strength and activate the pelvic floor muscles, which aids recovery from giving birth. Traditional poses will strengthen and open the shoulders and chest muscles to support you in all of the carrying, rocking and cradling you do in the first few months with your baby. Must be cleared to exercise.

Meet new moms in a welcoming community. It’s reassuring to talk to other mothers who are going through the same things you are. Yoga class provides a safe and nurturing environment for new parents to discuss their experiences and develop lifelong friendships.
