Work with Me: Pelvic Floor Yoga Therapy

Pelvic floor imbalances bring with them a myriad of physical symptoms* that are commonly caused by either a tight, gripping pelvic floor, a weak, lax pelvic floor, or a combination of the two, causing a musculature imbalance between the two sides. To complicate matters further, these muscle imbalances throw off our intra-abdominal pressure system, which is a key component to a healthy pelvic floor.

Emotionally, worry and fear around pelvic health issues can lead to anxiety which then lends to gripping and contracted muscles. Which causes more symptoms/pain, which causes more anxiety.

My therapeutic yoga programs are custom designed for the client in front of me and what they are experiencing. I.E., weak muscles, overactive/chronic gripping muscles, incontinence issues, pain and the anxiety we can feel around the symptoms of pelvic floor issues.

My program can be used on its own with great results or used conjointly with Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy.

Do Your Symptoms or a Recent Diagnosis Have You Worried About:

  • Your pelvic health and well-being?
  • Fears over leaking while away from home, whether due to sneezing, abrupt movement, or making it to the restroom in time?
  • The effects of an overactive pelvic floor (hypertonic/chronically held muscles) causing you to develop or worsen pain?
  • The effects of an underactive pelvic floor (hypotonic/weak muscles) causing leaking, heaviness in your vagina or rectum, or pelvic organ prolapse?
  • The effects on enjoyment of sex and/or letting your partner down?
  • Unexplained back, hip, or leg pain?

Or maybe you are feeling helpless, stressed, and confused about the contradicting information online.

If you answered yes to any of the above, I understand… I’ve been there myself.

I’m the creator of the leading pelvic floor yoga therapy program in Las Vegas, NV that focuses on helping women and those identifying as women not only improve their condition but to give them lifelong tools to return to should they be faced with flare-ups and support themselves for any challenges that may come their way.

Why am I passionate about the pelvic floor?

My deep interest in the pelvic floor began with my own pelvic floor symptoms. I have experienced both a weak/lax pelvic floor and an overactive/chronically contracted pelvic floor brought on by traumatic events and worked through it all with the very practices I teach. My goal is to educate and empower individuals on these practices and how they can aid us during our healing journey.

Taking my experiences, both personally and professionally, I created my pelvic floor yoga therapy program to help clients relieve physical symptoms, reduce emotional distress, and give them the confidence and tools needed to face any flare-ups or challenges life throws their way.

I specialize in working with women and those identifying as women, empowering them to take control of their health and healing. I support them in making sense of the overwhelming conflicting information out there about what it takes to improve the health of their pelvic floor and in overcoming their frustration when Kegels don’t work, all while giving them a program that is accessible, cost-effective, and delivers results.

I believe wholeheartedly in the transformational power of yoga and the lasting changes people make to their lives once they begin practicing it. Yoga empowers us to be confident, self-sufficient, and at peace with ourselves and its tried and true techniques help us improve overall wellbeing and quality of life.

My non-invasive 6-week program* includes exactly what you need to start seeing results:

  • A 1.5 hour private session with me each week to develop your perfect individualized practice and begin to effect positive change.
  • A short, personalized 15-20 minute daily home practice to support our sessions and keep encouraging improvement.
  • Somatic movement to re-establish proper communication between the nervous system and the muscular system to release chronically held tension in the body
  • Stretching and strengthening techniques to ease chronically contracted muscles and strengthen weaker, lax muscles to bring balance to the body.
  • Breathing practices to relieve tension and anxiety and rebalance our intra-abdominal pressure system, which is key to ending leaks.
  • Body awareness exercises to help us recognize when we might be doing things within our daily habits and lifestyle that are contributing to our condition.
  • Relaxation practices for creating mental and physical relief.
